I don’t disagree with you. In the case of Alison, that was most likely what she was thinking. We’d already had a pregnancy scare so she was on the pill and we were having unprotected sex. With Beth, it was emotional. We were both married when the affair started and had been together a short time when she insisted I leave my wife…that was purely emotional. I wouldn’t have minded if she’d done the same but she got to have her cake and eat it too…for a while.
